Arkansas Affiliate of Komen Speaks Out

Susan G. Komen for the Cure – Arkansas Affiliate released a statement on their Facebook page saying it wishes the national organization will reverse its position on removing funding from Planned Parenthood for cancer screenings.
Planned Parenthood is currently under investigation by the U.S. House of Representatives for the services Planned Parenthood currently provides. Komen’s national office has “new criteria barring grants to organizations under congressional investigation,” according to a report in today’s Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.
The local affiliate stated “decision of this nature should be made only after the investigation is complete.”
