ACC Hosts Regional Meeting

The Arkansas Cancer Coalition (ACC) took the meeting to our members, beginning a program of regional meetings.

ACC hosted the Southeast Regional Meeting on January 31 at the Donald W. Reynolds Community Services Center in Pine Bluff. Members from surrounding south Arkansas counties attended to learn:

• ACC membership 101 from ACC Staff
• ACC grants and opportunities from ACC Staff
• Introduction to Cancer Data from Abby Holt of the Arkansas Department of Health
• Systems Training and Outreach Program (STOP) from Brenda Howard of the Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Program
• Health Communications Update from Miriam Karanja from the Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Program
• ACC Grants panel discussion from past grantees (Deb Crawford of PRIDE Youth programs of Eldorado and Kim Hooks of the Arkansas Department of Health)
