FY18 ACC Mini Grants
The Arkansas Cancer Coalition’s (ACC) mission is to facilitate and provide partnerships to reduce the human suffering and economic burden from cancer for the citizens of Arkansas.

ACC will administer mini-grants,in amounts from $1000.00 – $2,500.00 to fund partner activities/events/programs, on a short term basis, that work to advance the goals and objectives of the Arkansas Cancer Plan. Partners are encouraged to apply for these funds to support their activity/event/program for the fiscal period of October 2, 2017 – December 15, 2017 (funding must be expended no later than December 15, 2017).
The submission deadline for applications is September 11, 2017.
Mini-grants are restricted to certain allowable costs. For a detailed list of allowable costs, download the ACC Grants and Procedures Manual here. The ACC Mini-Grant program requires additional restrictions not listed in the ACC Grants and Procedures Manual. Examples of restrictions are payment for salary, fringe, equipment and decorations. Funds may not be used for fundraising activities or for lobbying. Examples of allowable costs are speaker fees and travel, educational tools, workforce development, advertising, conference/meeting costs, printing.

The ACC is interested in funding proposals that meet the following criteria:
- Utilize the expertise of a diverse coalition, which includes members of the priority audience and other key stakeholders in the development, implementation, and evaluation phases of the proposed project.
- Incorporate evidence-based strategies and/or promising practices to support goals and objectives of the Arkansas Cancer Plan.
- Leverage ACC funding to disseminate project outcomes.
Applications will be considered for funding based on the availability of funds and a review process. Each successful applicant will be required to sign a fully executed Memorandum of Agreement. The ACC Mini-Grant program delivers funding on a reimbursement basis. Partners will submit an expense report each month to be reimbursed for costs incurred on behalf of the program. A final report chronicling all program outcomes will be due at the completion of the period in December 15, 2017.
A final report, which includes a complete summary of the project and whether the proposed goals were met will need to be submitted. Report templates will be provided. The final report should also include an expenditure report that accounts for all monies spent and copies of all receipts. In addition, if there are monies left over, they must be returned by December 15, 2017. A W-9 is required.
