Cancer in your County: Communities for Change

Competitive Grant funding available

The Arkansas Cancer Coalition (ACC) works to strengthen the cancer control network as well as implement the goals and strategies of the state’s only comprehensive cancer plan—the Arkansas Cancer Plan. To download the Arkansas Cancer Plan, click here. ACC will award community grants to ACC Partners who work to implement evidence based and promising practices of proven cancer control strategies in communities that advance specific goals, objectives and strategies of the Arkansas Cancer Plan (ACP).

Community Grants, in sums ranging from $35,000 to $55,000, will be awarded to projects implementing the goals and objectives outlined in the Arkansas Cancer Plan. Special consideration is given to those organizations working in the 10 red counties listed in the Arkansas Department of Health 2015 red county report, click here to view the red county report. All grants will be administered on a reimbursement basis over one year, beginning July 1, 2017 and ending June 30, 2018.

The RFA for FY18 Competitive Grants opened on January 30, 2017.  ACC held a mandatory workshop on February 1 at the CARTI Campus from 10am-12pm, both in person and via live stream. To download a copy of the presentation, click here.
