Each year, the Arkansas Cancer Coalition hosts the Cancer Summit to showcase progress of Coalition partners in meeting objectives of the state comprehensive cancer plan. The Summit allows for discussion, networking, skill building and collaboration among Arkansas's cancer prevention and control communities.

The tenth annual Arkansas Cancer Summit, themed "Cancer Survivorship: Embracing the Journey," will highlight cancer survivor stories, access to health care, navigating the system, and surviving and thriving. It will also explore issues reaching beyond cancer to address overall chronic disease rates.

Cancer Summit X objectives are to:

Cancer strikes one out of every two men and one out of every three women, killing 17 Arkansans every day. Although people increasingly live with cancer rather than dying from it, they lose up to 15 years, on average, of productive life. That's a loss Arkansas simply can't afford. Please join us for the Arkansas Cancer Summit X as we work together to lessen cancer's burden in our state.
