The CDC has released a report on Promising Practices for Cancer Prevention and Survivorship. The theme is Physical Activity. There is evidence that suggests physical activity reduces the risk of several cancers, including breast and colon cancers. To read the full report, click here.
National Cancer Prevention Month focuses on promoting healthy behaviors to reduce cancer incidence in the United States. The American Institute for Cancer Research estimates that approximately one-third of the most common cancer incidences could be prevented by eating healthy, being active, and staying lean.
